It’s been an year now that we posted anything here…Reasons are many but lets not get into that…let’s give you only updates…

We did innumerable shows over the last year and have grown from strength to strength with regard to production values.  We have a very big production team now and have been using LED walls to great effects in our shows.  Also, we have been collaborating with folk musicians and international artists for our shows.

Dhwani’s latest production, Royale Rajasthan, was staged in November, 2011 in Hyderabad at Hyderabad Internation Convention Centre where we collaborated with Langa Musicians from Rajasthan to present authentic Rajasthani Folk Music. We had a 40 member team for this production with amazing sets, lights and sound to support the whole effort.

April 2012 has started off well..we did a huge show at the Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur on the 1st of April for Tata Steel..turnout was 4000 people…the show was rocking…snaps coming soon…We have 5 more shows this month including shows in Chennai and Bilaspur other than in Kolkata..

We are also have revamped our website that that also should be up and running by next week…please do give your feedback regarding the same.

Hi friends,

Summer has set in and it’s hot everywhere. Dhwani has been scorching the stage and shows like never before over the last two months.

In April 2011, we travelled to a place called Saraburi in Central Thailand and had an amazing bhajan show in a Hanuman Temple Complex. We felt as if we were in India. Got a wonderful response and enjoyed amazing hospitality. Thanks to the organisers.

Next up was Chennai and we put up a gr8 show but not before encountering some tense moments. We were reaching Chennai from Bangkok and our luggage did not reach Chennai. thanks to our foresightedness, we had kept show related stuff with us. Hence, did not let the show get affected. All in all, a learning experience.

In May, we presented an out and out Rajasthani show in Kolkata and what a show it turned out to be. thanks to the folk dancers and langa singers who accompanied us on stage, the show was spectacular and sounded amazing too.

Later, we went to Goa, the land of sun and sea. We performed on a cruise and had lots of fun. Show was smooth sailing and we got excellent response.

June is approching and the monsoons will be starting too but our journey continues and we are headed to Hyderabad, Indore and Delhi in June.

It’s been a long gap since we communicated. Reasons are many for the same but we will not ponder on that rather will update you as to what we have been doing since September 2010.

We did a lot of shows both in India as well as abroad. Notably amongst them were the ones in Manila, Hong Kong and Bangkok. The one thing that stood out in all these places was the sheer enthusiasm and the large turnout of the Indians.

We were really at home in these places and were bowled over by the hospitalilty especially in Manila. We shall never forget it and shall cherish it forever. Thanks to all the folks in Manila for making our trip so memorable.

Also, very recently we visited Bikaner & Udaipur in Rajasthan for the first time and boy…what lovely places these are. We had a ball in these places with amazing shows. We had used a LED setup for audio visuals and it was awesome.

Next up are shows in Kolkata, Raigarh, Mumbai etc. in the next couple of weeks…

Also, we are preparing some new concept shows for our fans and will present some amazing shows very soon…

Some moments…

It’s been more than 2 months that we updated you about what Dhwani has been doing.

We actually started preparing for the tour since June 2010 and from 18th August till 14th September we covered 11 cities in India and did 12 shows for the teachers of those cities. The cities which we covered this year were Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Ranchi, Asansol, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati and Jamshedpur.

The response to this show in each of the cities mentioned above was fantastic! There was not a single city in which the teachers did not dance, clap and sing together with us. What a sight it was…

This was the 4th year of TTWL (To teachers with love) event and it’s going from strength to strength.

We are very thankful to our title sponsor Linc Pens without whose support this would not have been possible. We are also thankful to all other sponsors and media partners who chipped in to make this tour successful.

Next year, it would hopefully, be bigger with lot more fun and frolic.

I know it’s better to be late than never.

We did a fantastic tour of 5 cities in May this year covering Surat, Pune, Indore, Patiala and Ranchi and all these shows were well appreciated.

Next up is Indore and Ratlam on 23rd and 24th of this month and then comes Chennai on 4th July.

With the advent of Spring, there’s a new vigour and spirit in our lives.

The show in Phuket, Thailand was a superhit in February, 2010 and then we saw the true colours of March.

The Festival of Colours has just gone past and we saw some amazing bonomie and freshness in the people of Guwahati who had invited us to celebrate Holi with them. And what an evening of music and fun it was…

After that, we were off off to Bhubaneswar for a corporate event.

Next up is a show in Kolkata on the 14th of March…and we shall be performing one of our best and earlies concept shows – “Satrangi Re”. that should surely be great fun…

So, here’s hoping that the coming months are truely busy and rocking…

At the outset, Team Dhwani wishes you all a very Happy New Year.

Dhwani has had a great start to this year and is busy doing shows all across.  Next up is the 13th Annul Reunion of Birla High School on the 16th of Jan, 2010 to be followed by shows in Bangalore in the 3rd week of January.

Next month will take us to Indore, Phuket, Delhi etc….

Please pray that this year turns out to be even better than 2009.

November heralds the season of winter, parties, bonhomie and lots of fun and music of course…. and if music is the topic of discussion, can Dhwani be far behind?

Dhwani has been busy over the last two months with a very successful To Teachers With Love Concert Series in September followed by a great gigs in Hong Kong and Singapore in October.

November has been busy so far. We are performing in the capital city of New Delhi on 20th November, 09 for a noble cause which is a fund raiser for the Columban Outreach Project which aims at providing mid day meals to underprivileged children and build hostels for street children.

Dhwani is doing it’s bit to this cause by presenting a musical nite. Tickets are available at the St. Columba’s School reception desk. Those interested, please do come and do your bit for this noble cause.

December is also looking good…shows in Guwahati, Goa, Kolkata, Siliguri and many more…
